We are four: Duncan – mixologist, Aimee and Marie – reception, Trevor – blog author and hotel owner.

Duncan has experience that belies his years and cocktail knowledge that defies belief. This is down to his having worked in many London bars with the aim of learning all he could and then spending several years running bars (including at Rick Steins) around Padstow. These qualifications do not guarantee great results but fortunately for us Duncan can and does apply his knowledge with skill to produce some of the best cocktails you are likely to taste.

Aimee first joined us working in housekeeping as a summer job. Subsequently she waited here in La Bouche Creole and after studying at Catering College joined us full-time. Her enthusiastic love of cooking and the hospitality industry are great assets.

Marie has been working on reception for over two years and knows more aspects of the hotel better than any other member of staff. She previously worked in reception at other hotels in the area, gaining very valuable experience in a wide range of hotel operations.

I, with my business partner, took over the hotel in 2004. The leap from electronics and software engineering to the hospitality industry was either brave or reckless. The change has left me with little free time but I do see the Atlantic every day!
