We believe in using great local ingredients, treating them with respect and a lightness of touch so that they shine through. The aim is not to indulge the chef’s whims or show off but to treat the diner; your enjoyment is what make us tick.
Our Cornish location overlooking Bude harbour and the Atlantic is dear to the heart of head chef Kyan; a proud local. With fishing a family tradition he is passionate about using local sustainable seafood and showing just how delicious it can be. Restaurants far and wide proclaim their use of Cornish fish, it is Kyan’s desire and duty to showcase what is on our doorstep.
The dinner menu changes every month and always reflects the seasons, the main ingredients are as local as chef can make them, Cornish preferably. Sea food is always strongly represented but the local meat and vegetarian / vegan dishes are not to be missed.
Kyan has a tremendous depth and breadth of experience to draw on and never stops experimenting with flavours and ingredients; his dishes always have personality and even the simplest demonstrate his command of the kitchen.
